The Dragonsitter

'Dear Uncle Morton. You'd better get on a plane right now and come back here. Your dragon has eaten Jemima.'

It had sounded so easy: Edward was going to look after Uncle Morton's unusual pet for a week while he went on holiday. But soon the fridge is empty, the curtains are blazing, and the postman is fleeing down the garden path

Fluff the farting fish

Elvie is desperate for a puppy that she can train up to do amazing tricks. But it's not a puppy Mum returns from the pet shop with, it's a fish.

But Elvie doesn't give up. Determined to fulfill her dream of having a performing pet she trains up Fluff the fish. Fluff can't sit, she won't bark on command, but she does have a very special fishy talent all of her own...

Isadora Moon goes to school

Isadora Moon is half fairy, half vampire. When she reaches school age, her mum wants her to attend fairy school, where lessons include wand waving, dancing and making flower garlands. Her dad favours vampire school, where bat training, flying in formation and grooming are on the curriculum.

Despite Isadora's best efforts at each school, nothing seems to go right, and she lurches from one disastrous lesson to another. Trudging home with a heavy heart, she feels like a misfit. If only she could find a school where diversity is celebrated and people are accepted for who they are.

The Hodgeheg

Max is a hedgehog who lives with his family in a nice little home, but it's on the wrong side of the road from the Park where there's a beautiful lily pond and plenty of juicy slugs, worms and snails!
The busy road is dangerous but Max is determined to make his way across. If humans can do it, why can't hedgehogs? His first attempt ends in a nasty bump on the head and, when Max tries to speak, he realises his words are all mixed up. He is no longer a hedgehog but a hodgeheg!

Still determined to fulfil his mission, Max discovers the best way to cross the road - with the help of the lollipop lady and some careful detective work . . .
