Covid-19

Additional Information - If outbreaks occur in the future.

Please be assured, that we continue to follow any guidelines given to us by DfE and the Academy Trust. During any future lockdown or the school returning to 'bubbles', the school's start and finish times will be staggered, as before, in order to minimise contact and ensure social distancing.

In such cases lunch and break times will be staggered so that minimal contact is made between classes at social times.

We continue to use hand sanitiser and clean touch points throughout the day.

As you are aware, we have, and will continue to, send out the relevant information regarding these details.

However, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact Mrs Bloor or Mrs Thomasson in the school office on:

0115 9728 469 or email us at enquiries@st-laurence.derbyshire.sch.uk

In a recent survey to parents, we asked the question, “Do you feel that we have kept you well informed about school closures?”

We are extremely proud that 98.6% of our parents answered yes.

Here are some of the comments from our parents:

  • Communication has been great.
  • Really good communication and easy to get in touch with
  • I think it's been brilliant and you have reacted to the closures so effectively!
  • We keep on receiving emails and texts with important information. We have an opportunity to contact via Google Classroom also.
  • Communication has been brilliant
  • I’ve been told about things straight away that’s made me feel 100%
  • I feel that school have been great with keeping us informed. If I have had any questions I have rang the school and they have answered them straight away or got back to me with the reply very quickly.
  • Excellent information and support available.

Thank you to all parents who completed the survey and provided constructive comments. Your suggestions are valued and we will continue to work with you to ensure that communication and remote learning runs smoothly.
